Shopped Till I Dropped (Which Doesn’t Take Much These Days)

When my sister was pregnant, I remember her telling me how tired she felt.  But it didn’t really hit home until I found out what tired really was.  I am 7 months along and I am exhausted.  I was no less tired the day I went shopping to get stuff for my baby, but I had just had my baby shower and I needed to get a few more things.

The first thing on my list was actually to take a look at portable dog  crates.  Now I know that this seems like it doesn’t have a lot to do with having a baby, but I have a great little doggy named Buster and I don’t know how he will react to this new addition to the family, so I need a safe place for him to go and a way to take him to my Mom’s if there are any issues.  I did find one that I liked and got it, but by this point I was starting to wear out.

The next thing I needed to get was an infant travel system. No one bought me one of these for my shower, although I got many beautiful and useful gifts.  It is actually OK with me, because this is the one thing I really wanted to get on my own.   So I went into the baby store and started looking.  All I can say is that it was  a good thing that there was a saleslady there to help me, because I was having a really hard time deciding.  I couldn’t figure out which stroller and car seat combo was better.  They were all starting to blur together.  After the lady spent some time explaining which ones she liked and why, I had a much easier time making a decision, and since I am having a girl I decided for a really cute pink system that should be the only one I need.

By the time I got done with all this shopping I was ready to relax.   I ended my day with a wonderful pedicure, and I couldn’t be happier.  Life is good, and I think now  I am ready for my baby.
