Cincinnati is a wonderful place to visit, but it also has amazing neighborhoods that you’d feel comfortable considering home. In the past, Cincinnati was referred to as the Queen City of the Midwest, and Chicago was a small village at that time. Those who are unaware of the facts regarding Cincinnati OH real estate can get a good glimpse from this article. Cincinnati has never been an oustanding economic performer, but it still retains an incredible legacy.

Over the Rhine (OTR) is a significant district with historical importance in the nation, though it is expected to be in redevelopment stages soon. Though this is very near to downtown Cincinnati, it has some unbelievable Italian style architecture in the northern parts. The redevelopments are in the southern end, namely, Gateway Quarter. Some of the delicious foods Cincinnati offers can be obtained from Senate Restaurant and there are also some condo developments nearby the popular restaurant.

OTR has a high standard of living because of the architectural significance though there are not many new residents. It is also referred to as the arts district with some of the city’s more popular theatres. OTR, in the 90’s, was expected to develop into a popular entertainment district. However, some setbacks and tensions have slowed its progress. The riots in OTR’s history have also contributed to Cincinnati’s notoriety for racial disturbances. The condition has improved a lot currently, but OTR seems to still have several vacant and boarded up buildings with high potential that remain unused.

A foremost hipster district in Cincinnati is the Northside and a commercial district known as Clifton. Clifton has better accommodations than Northside and the daily requirements, like food and groceries, can also be obtained easily, since there are coffee shops, retail stores, restaurants, bars, a library branch and an old movie theatre along with the University of Cincinnati.

DeSales Corner has some of the major buildings, unlike downtown Cincinnati. It is very similar to Uptown and Wicker Park of Chicago, which is unlike the other districts Cincinnati has to offer. Nevertheless, many of its buildings are vacant though highly valuable like in OTR. Irrespective of this, there are many new developments. Another impressive neighborhood is Hyde Park Square, analogous to DeSales Corner and other trendy areas of Cincinnati OH homes for sale.
